Cuil.com

Recently i got to know about a new search engine ie, 'cuil.com' so i just thought of getting an inside information on this and i got to know that cuil has been started off by google's ex-employees Anna Patterson, Russell Power and Louis Monier and co-founder and CEO Tom Costello(former IBM employee).Cuil is pronounced as cool and claims to have the biggest database compared to google, yahoo and msn but i think the figures are basicaly used for promotion who knows the reality behind these figures and its better to be more realistic.

Cuil has a black color theme unlike the other 3 majors in the search engine race and yeah the layout is good as far as scrolling is concered u can view a short discription with a thumbnail of the search u made but i quite doubt the reality behind the databases as i made a search n found almost the same results till the fourth page(man i was surprised to see same links from page1 till page4,all allocated at different places thats it) so what does it mean u dont need to goto another page if u havnt found what u wanted or u can try if u have time to pass hehe...but there's one thing that i liked is that unlike the other search engines cuil dosnt store user searches and IP addresses, as google stores your personal searches its like BIG BROTHER watching u all the time :P...hmmm so i think its a quite 'cool' feature hehe...but hey u never know whats cooking behind the claims and numbers...!!!BEWARE anyways!!!

I've tried Cuil and I don't like its layout that much. I prefer simple linear layouts like that of Find Engine and Directory. I don't think they indexed 120 billion pages like what they claimed because they couldn't even find my site!
